Slovenia has implemented the Quotation for criticism or review (Art. 5.3(d) InfoSoc) exception in Article 51 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act. The national exception is slightly more restrictive than the EU exception.

This exception allows for the quotation of excerpts from a divulged work or individual divulged works from the fields of photography, fine arts, architecture, applied arts, industrial design and cartography, if necessary for the purpose of illustration, criticism or review. The source and authorship of the work must be stated, if it is stated on the used work.
