Lithuania has implemented the Private copying (Art. 5.2(b) InfoSoc) exception in Article 20 of the Law No VIII- 1185 on Copyright and Related Rights. The national exception is slightly more restrictive than the EU exception.
Implementation summary:
This exception allows for the reproduction, exclusively for the individual use of natural persons and not for commercial advantage, in a single copy, of a work lawfully published or communicated to the public. Compensatory remuneration is due for the reproduction of audiovisual works or works fixed in phonograms and must be paid for the devices and analogous and digital blank audio and audiovisual media and by the persons selling such devices and blank media.

Remarks: The exception also covers neighbouring rights under art 58(1), p.14, which allows 'for a natural person to reproduce solely for private use and for ends that are non-commercial, not more than one copy of performance, phonogram, audiovisual work (film) or broadcast of a broadcasting organisation. Remuneration for reproduction of an object of related rights for private use and for ends that are non-commercial shall be paid to owners of related rights in accordance with the procedure established in Article 20 of this Law'.
