Lithuania has implemented the Temporary acts of reproduction (Art. 5.1 InfoSoc) exception in Article 29(1) of the Law of 18 May 1999 No VIII- 1185 on Copyright and Related Rights. The national exception closely resembles the EU exception.

Implementation summary:

This exception allows for temporary acts of reproduction which are transient or incidental and an integral and essential part of a technological process and whose sole purpose is to enable an efficient transmission in a network between third persons by an intermediary, or a lawful use of a work to be made (when it is permitted by the owner of copyright or is not restricted by this Law), and which have no independent economic significance
