Ireland has implemented the Use of works of architecture or sculptures in public spaces (Art. 5.3(h) InfoSoc) exception in Section 93 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act. The national exception closely resembles the EU exception.
Implementation summary:
This exception allows for the i) making of a painting, drawing, diagram, map, chart, plan, engraving, etching, lithograph, woodcut, print or similar thing, ii) making a photograph or film, or iii) broadcasting or including in a cable programme service of an image, of buildings, sculptures, models for buildings and works of artistic craftsmanship, where permanently situated in a public place or in premises open to the public. The exception also applies to the making available to the public.
