Croatia has implemented the Use for the purpose of caricature, parody or pastiche (Art. 5.3(k) InfoSoc) exception in Article 206 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act. The national exception is slightly more restrictive than the EU exception.
Implementation summary:
This exception allows for the remake of a work into parody, caricature and pastiche, to the extent necessary for its meaning (humor, criticism of the work being parodied, the caricature or the pastiche, critique of social events and phenomena and similar), in accordance with good customs. Transformation of a work into a parody or caricature must be limited to the extent necessary for the purpose thereof. The original work and its author must be indicated.
