Croatia has implemented the Quotation for criticism or review (Art. 5.3(d) InfoSoc) exception in Article 202 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act. The national exception is slightly more restrictive than the EU exception.
Implementation summary:
This exception allows to quote verbatim excerpts of copyrighted works (citations) or items, object of neighbouring rights, that are legally accessible to the public, for scientific research, teaching, criticism, polemics, reviews and the like, to the extent justified by the purpose to be achieved and in accordance with good customs, under the condition that the source and the name of the author must be indicated, if possible in view of the way of use.
