Czech Republic has implemented the Press review (Art. 5.3(c) 1st part InfoSoc) exception in Section 34(c) of the Copyright Act. The national exception is slightly more restrictive than the EU exception.

Implementation summary:

This exception allows for the use in periodical press or in broadcasting or in any other mass media, to a justifiable extent, of a work - or the translation thereof - providing the reporting on current political, economic or religious matters. The work used must be already published via any other mass communication media and cannot be so borrowed or further used if such borrowing or further use is explicitly forbidden. Citing the name of the author (unless the work is an anonymous work) or the name of the person under whose name the work has been introduced to the public is mandatory.
